The method

How does a reading actually work?

No mystery making. This is the reasoning a consultation runs on, including a worked example and an honest account of the limits.

Four steps

From details to guidance

01

Your details

Birth date, time and place, or simply an urgent question. If the birth time is uncertain, say so, because Prashna needs none.

02

Chart computed

In Astroenvision, the software Acharya ji wrote himself. The mathematics is not the skill. The reading is.

03

Chart read

The houses that govern your question, their lords, and the running dasha, read together and against the question.

04

Plain guidance

What the chart supports, when, and what it does not. Remedies only where they have a defined job.

Gold marks the running mahadasha. A consultation reads your question against it, which is how a reading produces dates rather than adjectives.

A worked example

One chart, shown working

An anonymised consultation from the practice, shared with permission. This section is a draft, and Acharya ji is supplying a real case to replace it.

The question

"My business has been flat for three years despite everything I try. Should I persist, pivot, or close it?" A manufacturer, 47, Delhi NCR.

What the chart was asked

  • The tenth house of enterprise and its lord, placement and strength
  • The eleventh house of gains, connected to the tenth or cut off from it
  • The running dasha, whether it is the cause and when it ends
  • A Prashna chart for the specific either or decision

What it showed, and what was said

The tenth lord sat strong, but its period ran adverse until a defined date. That is a temporary suppression, not a structural fault. The advice was to persist, to defer expansion past the period's end, and to take one specific remedy with a defined job.

The two houses this question was read from, marked on the anonymised chart.

  • 10th houseEnterprise, profession, and standing
  • 11th houseGains, and whether they actually arrive
The top centre house is always the 1st, the lagna. Counting runs anticlockwise from there, which puts the 10th at the right centre. The houses never move, the signs in them do.

Strength, measured

Why is one Jupiter not another?

Placement is only half of it. Shadbala scores every graha on six separate counts and gives a figure in rupas, which is the classical unit. A planet below the strength its own position demands cannot deliver what the chart otherwise promises it.

0 2 4 6 8 10 Sun 6.4 Moon 5.8 Mars 5.1 Mercury 7.6 Jupiter 7.9 Venus 4.9 Saturn 4.2 RUPAS │ the strength each graha must reach
The navy rule on each bar is the strength that graha must reach. Gold clears it, grey does not. In this chart Saturn and Venus fall short, which is what made the period read as a suppression rather than a fault.

Sample values from the same anonymised chart above. A consultation reads yours.

Honestly

What can astrology do, and what can it not?

It can

  • Explain why a period turned difficult, and date its arc
  • Time decisions such as launches, moves, marriages, and filings
  • Answer a specific either or question through Prashna
  • Read aptitude and direction from a child's chart
  • Say plainly when a plan lacks the chart's support

It cannot

  • Replace doctors, lawyers, or financial professionals
  • Change an outcome by ritual alone, since remedies support rather than substitute
  • Give certainty, only informed probability and timing
  • Fix what your own decisions must fix

This honesty is not a disclaimer. It is the family's method, because a reading that cannot say no is worth nothing.

Two instruments

Vedic and Horary, and when each is used

Vedic, or Parashari

The full birth chart. The life's structure, its periods, its promises and its debts. Used for the large questions such as a career arc, a marriage, health patterns, and the shape of a decade.

Prashna, or Horary

A chart cast for the moment a question is asked, needing no birth details. Used for the sharp questions such as this offer, this case, this match, this month. It has been preserved in this family for five generations and very few still practise it.
